Breaking down the film’s collection, the report mentions that the Telugu version collected Rs 25.65 crore, the Tamil version earned Rs 3.5 crore. The Hindi dub collected Rs 22.5 crore, while the Kannada and Malayalam versions earned Rs 0.35 crore and Rs 2 crore, respectively.

In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave the film 2.5 stars out of 5 and wrote, “On the acting front, Prabhas is at the forefront and not only because the film revolves around him. His strong presence works as a contrast to Amitabh Bachchan’s gigantic Ashwatthama – the immortal warrior is eight-foot-tall. The latter’s voice is, as always, an integral part of the character. Deepika Padukone, who plays one of the central characters, is superb as the pregnant woman on the run. Saswata Chatterjee, playing a bad guy who shoots deadly laser beams from his fists, has moments in the film that often allow the spectacle to overpower everything else it’s trying to convey about the dangers caused by mankind and its own profligate ways.”
