Mumbai: The recently released science-fiction epic film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is all set to rock the box-office. The film has earned Rs 486 crore worldwide in the first four days of its release.
The film has grossed Rs 150 crore in India in the first three days of its release but it has also done great business at the box office in its opening weekend. The film has grossed Rs 346 crore across India.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ features several superstars from various film industries in India. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.
According to Track Tollywood, the total overseas collection of the film is Rs 142 crore, taking the worldwide collection to Rs 488 crore.
The film has grossed ₹167.5 crore in Telugu speaking states, while it is the second largest market in Hindi speaking states with ₹111.5 crore gross.
Excluding the southern states, the film’s Net India collection is Rs 134.09 crore. ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is expected to cross the Rs 500 crore mark with the evening shows on Monday.
The film needs to earn another Rs 500 crore to achieve the hit status. After experiencing excitement at the ticket windows with films like ‘Pathan’, ‘Jawan’, ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘Animal’ last year, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has once again set the box office on fire.
