Director Nag Ashwin’s ambitious 3D film “Kalki 2898 AD” has crossed the Rs 800 crore mark at the worldwide box office, the makers announced on Saturday.
Touted to be the most expensive film ever produced in India, the mythological and sci-fi action drama has a budget of Rs 600 crore and was released globally on June 27 in six languages.
“Kalki 2898 AD”, produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas in the lead roles.
The production house shared the latest box office figures in a poster of the film which reads “800+ GBOC Worldwide”.
“Box office on fire #EpicBlockbusterKalki in cinemas,” X wrote in the post.
‘Kalki 2898 AD’ also stars Disha Patani, Shashwat Chatterjee and Shobhana.
Earlier titled ‘Project K’, the film was released worldwide in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and English.
