Telugu science fiction by director Nag Ashwin Kalki 2898 ADTouted to be one of the most expensive films made in Indian cinema, the film is set in the post-apocalyptic city of Kashi in 2898 AD. The trailer of the ambitious film unveiled in Hyderabad shows Prabhas as Bhairava, working with the AI-enabled car BU-JZ-1 or Bujji, and Deepika Padukone fighting evil forces. Amitabh Bachchan plays Ashwathama while Kamal Haasan plays the negative character. The film also stars Disha Patani, Pashupati, Anna Ben, Saswata Chatterjee and Rajendra Prasad.

The little over three-minute-long trailer takes the audience to a horrific city of Kashi, where currency is measured in units and there is a shortage of food and water. A ‘complex’ in the city is out of their reach as they yearn for a better standard of living. The gist of the film revolves around the mythological story of Kalki, the 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
Kalki 2898 AD Music by Santosh Narayanan, cinematography by Djordje Stojiljikovic and the film is made to mark the 50th year of production house Vyjayanthi Movies. Nag Ashwin had earlier directed it Yevade Subramaniam and savitri biopic, greatness, Kalki 2898 AD will release worldwide in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and other languages ​​on June 27. Earlier this month, the production house released two episodes of an animated web series Bujji and BhairavaA prequel to the film, on Amazon Prime Video.
