Get ready for the “Biggest fight” of the year – Prabhas vs Amitabh Bachchan in Nag Ashwin’s film Kalki 2898 – A.D.The makers of the film released the much-awaited trailer on Monday and needless to say, it is a visual extravaganza with AI cars and 3D effects dominating the screen. The teaser begins with the city of Kashi in a dystopian world. It is said to be the last city in the world. Marooned people from far-off lands are trying to reach the city in search of water, food and shelter. The city is ruled by a king (played by Saswata Chatterjee) who has his eye on a pregnant woman (played by Deepika Padukone). Amitabh Bachchan, who plays Ashwatthama, tells Deepika Padukone that she is carrying a god in her womb. How will the king catch the pregnant woman who is carrying his enemy in her womb? Prabhas aka Bhairava is deployed who proudly says that he never loses any battle.
Don’t forget to watch Kamal Haasan in an almost unrecognizable avatar at the end of the trailer. The film also stars Disha Patani in a key role. Watch the trailer here:

The teaser of the film was released at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) last year. Kalki 2898 – A.D. Directed by Nag Ashwin, who is best known for directing the National Award-winning 2018 biographical drama Mahanati. The film marks the first collaborative project of Deepika Padukone and Prabhas, while the actress and Amitabh Bachchan have previously co-starred in the 2015 film Piku.
