Kan: Bollywood star Anupam Kher re -joined the 78th Cannes Film Festival with famous actor and friend, Robert de Niro.
Hollywood actor Robert de Niro received the honorary Palme D’Or Award for Lifetime Achievement in Cannes 2025. Meanwhile, acclaim Indian actor Anupam Kher is also present at the film festival for the world premiere of ‘Tanvi the Great’ on 17 May.
The two actors were last seen together on a big screen for the film ‘Silver Lineings Playbook’ in 2012. It also starred Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in the lead roles.
According to the press note by Anupam Kher’s team, two long time friends took an opportunity to catch during the festival, where Kher talked with him about his film.
He also introduced debutant Shubangi for Robert de Niro, who offered his best wishes. His hot conversation highlighted the feeling of mutual praise and cross-cultural support that continue to inspire festivals like ear.

Earlier, on Thursday, actor Anupam Kher shared his stills with his walk on the red carpet at the 78th Cannes Film Festival. Taking his Instagram handle, Anupam shared a group of pictures of his red carpet look, as he entered the auditorium for screening of films.
The ‘Summary’ actor followed the formal dress code of the ear 2025 wearing Kali Tuxedo and a bow tie. After walking on the red carpet, the star looked beautiful and congratulated his fans.
While sharing the pictures, he wrote, “Red Carpet!”, To indicate his arrival in the prestigious ear film festival 2025. Apart from Anupam Kher and Shubhangi Dutt, the film also has Khaki: Bihar chapter actor Karan Taker, who is ready to make his big debut after years of working on streaming platforms.
Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, and Arvind Swamy play an important role, and the game of Thrones actor Ian Glenn is also part of the film.
