Actress-politician Kangana Ranaut on Saturday criticised those praising the CISF woman constable who allegedly slapped her and asked if they also justify “rape or murder”.
Ms Ranaut said in a video message on Thursday that the constable hit her in the face and misbehaved with her during a security check at the Chandigarh airport.
“If you are with criminals there is a strong emotional motivation to commit crime, violating all the laws of the country.”
“Remember if you agree with penetrating someone’s intimate area, touching their body without their permission and assaulting them, then deep down you agree with rape or murder too because that too is just penetration or stabbing, what’s the big deal, you should deeply examine your psychological criminal tendencies,” the 37-year-old wrote on Axe.
In her video message, Ms Ranaut said she was hit in the face and misbehaved with by a CISF constable during a security check at the Chandigarh airport, who was angry with the actress’ stand on the farmers’ protest.
The ugly feud began two days after he was elected to the Lok Sabha from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.
The accused CISF personnel Kulwinder Kaur has been suspended and an investigation into the case has been initiated. CISF, which provides security at airports, has also ordered a Court of Inquiry into the incident.
In her latest post, Ms Ranaut advised people to “take up yoga and meditation”, otherwise life would become a bitter and boring experience.
The actor said, “Please don’t hold so much malice, hatred and jealousy, free yourself.”
Earlier on Saturday, Ms Ranaut received support from cinema veteran Shabana Azmi, who said security officials should not take the law into their own hands.
In a post on X, Ms Azmi said though she has “no love” for Ms Ranaut, she will not join those celebrating “Thappad”.
“I have no affection for Kangana Ranaut. But I don’t see myself joining this chorus celebrating ‘Thappad’. If security personnel start taking the law into their own hands, none of us can be safe,” Ms Azmi wrote.
Ms Azmi’s husband, veteran screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar, has filed a defamation suit against Ms Ranaut after he said she had threatened him. The case is still in court.
