Rishh Shetty Kantara: Chapter 1 Another loss occurred after actor Kalabhavan Niju. The actor from Kerala died due to a heart attack.

Niju, a popular mimician artist from Wadanappalli in Thrissur, earlier starred in Unni Mukundan’s hit Malayalam Films Malikappuram (2022) and Marco (2024). Was planted for actor Kantara 2, The 2022 sensational Kannada to the prequel, after the audit, hit.
The film is set to hit the screen on October 2, 2025. There is more than three months left for the release of the film, the prequel has been in the news for unexpected deaths of the crew members.
On May 12, 2025, actor Rakesh Pujri, television personality and comedian, died at the age of 34 due to a sudden heart arrest in Udupi. Rakesh was known for winning the Kannada reality show Comedy Khildigalu Season 3. A week before Rakesh’s death, a crew member of the film drowned near Udupi, Karnataka.
The deceased, 32 -year -old MF Kapil from Kottayam in Kerala, was caught in cross streams when he went to the Supornica River in Kollur, Udupi. Local people rescued him from water, but Kapil later died.

Kantara: Chaper 1 Homebell is produced by Films Sect And Brother-in-law fame. Arvind Kashyap is a cinematographer while Ajnesh Lokeath is a music director. Rishab will play the lead role in the film. The producers released the film’s first teaser in November 2023.
