New Delhi: Rishab Shetty’s much awaited action-thriller Kantara: Chapter 1 is making waves at the box office, which has been emerging as a major hit since its release on October 2.

Kantara: Chapter 1 earned Rs 61.85 crore in her early day, despite the competition with Jonavi Kapoor’s Sunny Sanskari Tulsi Kumari, dominated the box office, which collected Rs 10.11 crore on the same day. According to SACNILK reports, the film crossed a mark of Rs 100 crore within two days, collecting Rs 106.85 crore, including Rs 45 crore on its second day.

With remarkable earnings in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam, the collections of the film spread to various languages, performing the Pan-India appeal.

About the film and its prequel
Written and directed by Rish Shetty, the original Kantara was a sleeper hit, earning more than Rs 400 crore worldwide, which was on a minor budget of Rs 15 crore. Kantara: Chapter 1 is a prequel set a thousand years before the original film events. It features Rish Shetty in the lead roles, Rukmini Vasant, Jairam and Gulshan Devaiya in the lead roles.
Kantara: Chapter 1 – Plot Overview
The story takes the audience back to the land of Kantara, which focuses on the conflict between the Kanta tribe and the Bangara Empire. King Vijayendra of Bangara, gives his son Kulasekhar his throne, while his daughter Kanakavati oversee the treasury of the kingdom. Meanwhile, the strong leaders of the Kanta tribe make tireless efforts to uplift their people.

B. in this film. Ajnesh Lokeath is the music of Cinematography by Arvind Kashyap and production design by Vinesh Banglan. A major highlight is a comprehensive war sequence consisting of over 500 trained fighters and 3,000 extra artists, which were shot in 45–50 days on a specially manufactured 25-acre set on the rugged area. This sequence is being seen as one of the largest in Indian cinema history.
