The film, which released on October 2, 2025, has now grossed over Rs 500 crore worldwide in just seven days, marking an extraordinary milestone for Indian cinema.

With its wide opening and universal appeal, Kantara: Chapter 1 has already surpassed the lifetime collections of its predecessor.
At a recent press event in Delhi, director of photography Arvind S. Kashyap Revealed about the immense effort that went into creating the film’s stunning visuals. Kashyap attributed the visual impact to the strength of the storytelling, saying, “The main reason people like the visuals of the film is the story, so I would like to thank the writers and directors for giving us an incredible story and there is so much to talk about, from the challenges we faced while shooting it, to the set-ups and backgrounds when we shot it.”
