Kanye West’s Calabasas ranch is no longer as luxurious as it once was. A recent glimpse of the rapper’s $2.2 million home shows it in complete ruins. This dilapidated version of his California ranch is just a few miles away from another compound in Calabasas, which is currently home to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and the former couple’s children. In contrast, the $60 million family compound shines in splendor as before.
Though it now sits vacant, Kanye’s ranch was once the center of a Sunday Service congregation and the headquarters of the rapper’s infamous Donda Academy. West purchased it in 2018, after which he expanded the space by purchasing 300 acres of surrounding land, investing an additional $4 million.
Disclosure by dailymail.comBrand new shots of the house disappointingly prove that it is still uninhabited and in a worse state than imagined. There is debris and pieces of roofing scattered around the perimeter of the house in some places, and there is a large hole in the entrance, giving the place an almost haunted look.

On the other hand, Kim and Kanye bought their mansion in Calabasas for $20 million in 2014. West teamed up with renowned Belgian interior decorator Alex Vervoort as he reportedly invested $20 million for a complete renovation.
The former couple were at loggerheads, negotiating over who would take over the specially guarded home behind the gates of Hidden Hills. Ultimately, Kim reportedly settled on a purchase price during her divorce with her ex-husband (finalized in November 2022) so she and the kids could enjoy its luxurious comforts.

“Kim is trying to get Kanye to turn the Calabasas house over to her because that’s where the kids live and are growing up,” an insider told Page Six in 2021. The source added that while Kim “owns all the land around the house and the surrounding property,” “Kanye owns the actual house.”
In addition to his $2.2 million Calabasas ranch, Kanye also gave up his 4,000 square foot Malibu mansion. According to TMZ, this oceanfront property is now “left to rot.”
West’s career and fame were destroyed due to his anti-Semitic statements, which led to a massive loss of $1.6 billion in his net worth. Presumably, his comments and actions have caught up with him as he is doing everything possible to get the Malibu property off his back. The Yeezy boss is facing additional setbacks in that area, as he has lost $18 million. According to New York PostThe house was initially priced at $53 million, but Yes had to reduce the price to $39 million.
