Karan Johar recently revealed in an interview that his twins Yash and Roohi have started asking about their biological mother. Faye D’Souza on his YouTube channel. Speaking to Faye D’Souza, Karan Johar said, “It’s a modern family. It’s an unusual situation, so now even I am grappling with the question ‘Whose stomach was I born in? But mumma is not really mumma, she’s my dadi.'” Karan Johar further added, “I’m going to school, to counsellors, to ask how do we deal with this situation? And it’s not easy, being a parent is never easy.” Karan Johar welcomed his twins via surrogacy in 2017. Earlier, Karan Johar also spoke about the perks of being a single parent and how he takes care of his kids with his 81-year-old mother Hiroo Johar.
A few months ago, Karan Johar celebrated Yash and Roohi’s birthday with a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory themed party. Sharing heartwarming pictures with his kids Yash, Roohi and their mother Hiroo Johar, Karan Johar wrote a touching caption: “Happy birthday to the brightest sunshine of my life (x2)! My life has changed forever with you both coming into it with your goofy and cute laughter, your candid attitude towards me and of course – a lot of love to give to the world! Never change… Grow up but never change!”
“And thank you to my mom who is always the strength of our family… and a mother figure to Yash and Roohi! Love you always maa,” KJo wrote with a red heart emoji. Take a look:
