New Delhi: This Sony ad comes after Ryan Reynolds’ recent statement in which he expressed his desire to work with Singh. “Well, because Ryan (Reynolds) had mentioned Ranveer’s name, and Ranveer had voiced Ryan in the Hindi version of the second Deadpool film, so I had to mention him. I think he has everything. But the weird thing is that I want him to play the villain because I think villains are more fun. He has so much energy that I think he will do it really well,” said Sony.
When asked which Bollywood actor Ryan Reynolds would like to work with, Ryan said, “I don’t know. Oh…Ranveer Singh is amazing. I think he voices Deadpool. He’s really funny. But he’s fit too.” Turning to Hugh, Ryan said, “Do you think you’re fit?” The Wolverine actor replied, “Really!” Ryan added, “This guy makes you look like the ‘Crypt-Keeper’. He’s amazing.” Both Hugh and Ryan praised Ranveer.
The mutual admiration between Singh and Reynolds stems from their previous collaboration, where Singh lent his voice to the Hindi version of Deadpool 2.
Karan too is thrilled with Ranveer’s journey, he said, “I love his story too,” and added, “He is an unknown person. I always meet all these people because I feel the same way myself. And it’s very difficult, I think it’s even more difficult to achieve what he has achieved in India. He feels very Indian, he feels part of the culture. If he gets a chance to do something here, he will bring it. He will bring Indian culture to the international stage.”
