Mumbai: Kareena shared a stunning picture of Adar on her Instagram story and captioned it: “Happy birthday to my handsome brother. Lots of love to you.”
Aadar is the son of Rima Jain, the youngest daughter of cinema legend Raj Kapoor and Krishna Kapoor.
Adar is also an actor. He has starred in the 2021 film Hello Charlie and the 2017 film Qaidi Band.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena will be seen in noted director Meghna Gulzar’s new film ‘Dayra’.
He also has Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’.
‘Singham Again’ also stars Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and Ranveer Singh in key roles. It is the third installment of the superhit franchise.
‘Singham’ was released in 2011, starring Ajay Devgn, Kajal Aggarwal and Prakash Raj in the lead roles, followed by ‘Singham Returns’ in 2014.
Apart from this, he also has Hansal Mehta’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’.
The film is written by Aseem Arora, Kashyap Kapoor and Raghav Raj Kakkar. It is produced by Balaji Telefilms and TBM Films along with Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
With this film, Kareena is making her debut as a producer.
According to US-based media house Variety, the film follows Jasmeet Bhamra (played by Kareena Kapoor Khan), a detective and mother who, after losing her own child, is forced to investigate the murder of a 10-year-old in Buckinghamshire, and is caught in a web of mysteries where almost everyone in the small town becomes a suspect.
In an interview with Variety, Kareena revealed that her character in the film is inspired by Kate Winslet’s role in ‘Mare of Easttown’.
She said, “I loved ‘Mayor of Easttown’ and when Hansal came to me, I said this is something I really wanted to do. So we did a little change along the same lines, she is playing a detective police officer in it.”
Talking about the film, Hansal Mehta told Variety, “It was a refreshing change to make a film set in Britain, to cast Kareena as a detective, to make an authentic procedural film, but not to make it about the process but to make it about grief or trauma and closure. Kareena’s face – there are a million stories on that face. It’s amazing – when you put the camera in front of her and without saying anything it tells you so many stories, she is brilliant in my film.”
Mehta also revealed that he plans to make the film a part of a film franchise, depending on the public’s response to the film.
“I have stories in mind that will take Jaspreet Bhamra forward,” Mehta told Variety.
This film will be released in September 2024.
