Troubles in TV actress Daljeet Kaur and businessman Nikhil Patel’s marriage have been making headlines. After Daljeet shared a cryptic post that hinted at Nikhil’s extramarital affair, the businessman confirmed the “end of their relationship” within a year of marriage. Now, Daljeet has reportedly taken legal action against Nikhil. My full support is with my dearest friend Daljeet Kaur. This man has done wrong to her, and I will stand by her till the end. Dalljiet Kaur re-shared Karishma Tanna’s Instagram stories on her timeline and expressed her gratitude. She wrote, “A day will come when Katie [Karishma Tanna]. Thank you!” The post was later deleted.
on Friday, Hindustan Times The report states that Nikhil Patel had sent a legal notice to Daljeet Kaur asking her to collect her belongings from his house in Kenya. Following this, Daljeet reportedly approached the Nairobi city court against Nikhil. Citing the leaked legal document, the report states that the court has restrained Nikhil from evicting Daljeet and her child Jaden.
The legal notice issued by the Milimani Court in Kenya’s Nairobi city on June 11 said, “Pending the hearing and final determination of this application, an injunction is hereby issued restraining the respondent (Patel), his agents, employees and/or servants from evicting the petitioner/applicant (Kaur) and her child (Jaden) and/or doing anything with their personal effects and goods at the petitioner/applicant’s matrimonial home (in Kenya).”
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for June 28, the report said.
Daljeet Kaur married Nikhil Patel, who lives in Kenya, in March last year and moved to live with him in Nairobi. Daljeet returned to India in February this year. Soon after, the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram and also deleted several posts, sparking separation rumours.
Last month, Nikhil had confirmed his separation from Daljeet. He said, “In January this year, Daljeet decided to leave Kenya and return to India with her son Jayden, which ultimately led to our separation. We separated in January this year. We both realised that the foundation of our blended family was not as strong as we had hoped, which made it difficult for Daljeet to settle down in Kenya.”
Nikhil Patel said, “Despite our efforts, Daljeet found it challenging to adjust to life in Kenya, she missed out on her career and life in India. The complexities of our family dynamics became increasingly apparent. This proved challenging for us because of the cultural clashes, differing values and beliefs, and was something that began to evolve as the relationship matured. My daughters have a mother who is irreplaceable regardless of the status of their relationship.”
Before Nikhil Patel, Daljeet Kaur was married to TV actor and bigg boss 16 contestant Shaleen Bhanot. The couple separated in 2016. They co-parent son Jaden.
