New Delhi: Bollywood Hartthrobi Karthik Aryan has been awarded the 2025 Award for ‘Maharashtrian’ in the actor category for his powerful depiction of Murlikant Petkar in the Sports biopic ‘Chandu Champion’.

Karthik took pride in Maharashtra by bringing the inspirational journey of Unsang Nayak into life for India’s first Paralympic gold medalist. His dedication, change, and commitment to the role not only paid tribute to Petkar’s flexibility, but also introduced his incredible story to the audience across the country.

The actor shared the stage with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Governor CP Radhakrishnan.
