Karthik Aryan and Karan Johar, who once made headlines for their perceived cracks, gave a new example of “bromance”, as they hosted IIFA 2025 in Jaipur this year. In the incident, the stars took a jib on each other (ficklely). A video of the incident is already viral in which Karthik Aryan can be asked to make Karan Johar his partner.
For this, Karan replied “Kya Banoge Kartik? Kapde Wala, Jote Wala, Cosmetic Wala, Property Wala (What do you want to be? Dresser, showmaker, property dealer or cosmetic specialist)?”
Karthik said, “Poonwalla? Woh Nahi said Aapne (You have not mentioned Poonwal).” Karan said, “Sano, Unaka Adar Se Lo is a 50 percent stake in UCA (listen, take his name honorable, he has 50 percent bets).” Karthik took a pinch, “Main 51 percent listen (I have heard that it was 51 percent).”

Last year, other Poonwalla won a 50% stake in Karan Johar’s religion production and religious entertainment (collectively known as religion).
According to a press note issued by Dharma Productions, the deal is finalized for ₹ 1,000 crore, including Poonwal’s quiet entertainment. The remaining 50% will be owned with Karan Johar, who will lead the company’s creative vision as the executive chairman. As Chief Executive Officer, Apoorva Mehta will collaborate with Karan to guide strategic direction and to ensure operational excellence within the organization.
Dharma Productions was founded in 1976 by Yash Johar, father of Karan Johar. The production house has been behind films like Kuch Kuch Kuch Kuch Hai, Kabi Alvida Na Kehna, Student of the Year, Good Nude and Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva.
On the other hand, psychological entertainment was launched in 2018 and focuses on a wide array of projects including web series, documentary and feature films. Ajeb Daastaans, Ae Watan Merer Watan, Koffee Wint Karan, Bollywood Wivis’s magnificent life and tribe are created by purely entertainment.
