When Karthikeya Gummakonda was six years old, he danced to Chiranjeevi’s blockbuster film ‘Ramma Chilakamma’. Choodalani Vundi At school, the warm welcome he got filled with joy. When he was in class five or six, he wanted to become a star when he grew up. “I am glad I convinced my parents and tried my hand at acting; otherwise I would have always regretted not trying,” he said during this interview ahead of the release of his new Telugu film. The silver Jaguar prominently featured in the film was previously used by actor Prabhas. “A luxury car plays an important role in the story. The second half is on the road for about 40 minutes and includes car chase scenes. If we had rented the Jaguar, we would have had to worry about the rent, repairs of cameras and any damages. The producers from UV Creations (actor Prabhas’s associate) remembered that Prabhas Anna “He has a Jaguar which he is not using at the moment and he requested him to lend it for the film,” says Karthikeya.
The actor says while the car chase scenes add thrill, the father and son story makes it emotionally strong as well. send… The film was shot over 53 days, of which the car portion was shot over 20 days. “On some days, we filmed for long hours. I would reach the set at 6 am and leave at 8 am the next day.”
He said careful planning at the pre-production stage made it possible. “A lot of sketches were made and Prashanth was clear about how he wanted to bring his script to the screen. Action choreographers Dilip Subbarayan and Venkat Master helped us execute it smoothly. We were very concerned about working within our budget.”

send… This is Karthikeya’s ninth and 11th film as a lead actor, with him playing a villain in two films – granny’sgang leader and tamil movie Valimai starring Ajith Kumar. Karthikeya believes he is still open to playing characters with grey shades if he gets a good script and interesting role. “I have worked in Leader of Nani’s gang soon after RX100. Till then I was being offered roles that required me to look rough and tough. That film gave me a stylish look and helped me get urban, stylish-looking roles in my next films. Today, if I was offered such a film, I would have wanted more than just a villainous role.”

Karthikeya, who entered the industry as an outsider, admits he was lucky to have the support of his family. His parents, who own a school in Vanasthalipuram, were initially worried when he said he wanted to be an actor. An alumnus of NIT Warangal, Karthikeya knew he might pursue postgraduate studies if he did not succeed as an actor. But he was determined to give it a try. “I told my father that whenever I would see the poster of a hit film, I would regret thinking that maybe I could have been in it. I wanted to try. After ten films, at the age of 31, Karthikeya finds that he has improved as an actor and is learning to evaluate scripts better. “With experience, I am learning how to switch on and off on the set and what is required for a shot. Earlier when I used to see a rough cut of my film, I didn’t know how to evaluate it. Today I can manage it to some extent. I am still learning.”
There are times when his mother worries about how anxious he is before his release. “But I wouldn’t trade it for anything else,” says Karthikeya.
