Kartik Aaryan is all set for his much-awaited film. Chandu Champion, Addressed past fallout with Karan Johar in a recent interview the lallantopSpeaking on the alleged rift that emerged following his exit from Dharma Productions. Dostana 2, Kartik said, “Dekhiye, woh bhoot puraani baat ho gayi. Kabhi baahut miscommunication hota hai aur kabhi baahut bahut baahut proportion bhi jee jaati hai aur majhish jab woh likha jaata hai toh woh kuch aur karta hai (This news is quite old now. Sometimes there is misunderstanding or something is blown out of proportion, especially when something is written and it turns out to be completely different).”
Without giving much details, Kartik said that work is his first priority and he doesn’t want to get into any controversy. Kartik Aaryan told The Lallantop, “Main tab bhi chup tha aur ab bhi chup hun un baatein pe. Main bas 100 percent pratid kaam karta hun, lekin jab bhi aisi koi khabar aayi hai or koi controversy aayi hai toh main apne shell mein rehta hun. Main un cheezin mein zyada ghuda hun, aur na kuch sahib karne se mujhe kuch milta hai.” (I was quiet when the news came and prefer to stay quiet even now. I am 100% focused on my work and when such controversies happen, I stay calm. I don’t get involved in them much. And I don’t need to prove anything to anyone by getting involved in it).”

Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar made headlines when they shared the stage at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2023. On Kartik’s birthday last year, Dharma Productions and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms Ltd jointly announced a film starring Kartik in the lead role. It will be directed by Sandeep Modi and will release on August 15, 2025.
