New Delhi: Prime Video, India’s leading entertainment platform, presents the global streaming premiere of ‘Chandu Champion’, a biographical sports drama that traces the extraordinary life of India’s first Paralympic gold medallist, Murlikant Petkar. Directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan Films, the film is now available to Prime members in India and in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide starting August 9.
‘Chandu Champion’ stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead role as Murlikant Petkar, who delivers a powerful performance that underlines the resilience and determination of the great athlete. The film also stars many great actors like Vijay Raj, Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Anirudh Dave and Shreyas Talpade in important roles.
This engaging drama is based on the remarkable journey of Petkar, a soldier injured during the 1965 Indo-Pak war, who overcame many challenges to achieve greatness in the Paralympic Games. His victory at the 1972 Paralympics was not only a historic milestone for India but is also an inspiring testament to perseverance and the human spirit.
