Mumbai: The much-awaited wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will take place on July 12 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai.
One of the highlights of the Ambani family’s wedding plans includes a chaat stall from Varanasi’s famous ‘Kashi Chaat Bhandar’.
As part of the pre-wedding festivities, Reliance Foundation Founder and Chairperson Nita Ambani had visited Varanasi last month to seek blessings at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, where she had personally invited the shop owner Rakesh Keshri after tasting various chaats at his shop.
Keshari’s team is assigned the task of setting up a chaat stall at the wedding, which includes tikki, tomato chaat, palak chaat, chana kachori and kulfi.
“Nita Ambani visited our Chaat Bhandar on June 24 where she tasted tikki chaat, tomato chaat, palak chaat and kulfi falooda. She was very happy and said that Banaras chaat is very famous. It was a pleasure to serve her the food,” Keshri told ANI.
Kashi Chaat Bhandar has seen a significant increase in the number of customers, both local and international, since Nita Ambani’s arrival. Tourists from all over the world visit this shop to taste Nita Ambani’s favorite chaat.
Anika, a resident of South Africa, told ANI, “I heard that Nita Ambani came here and had Kashi chaat. Me and my husband came to this shop to taste it. It is a very good chaat and all the guests coming to Anant Ambani’s wedding will enjoy it.”
Sakshi from Surat, Gujarat, told ANI, “I came here after hearing about Nita Ambani’s visit. I saw it on TV and Instagram reels. We tasted all types of chaat here. It was a great experience, especially knowing that this is the same shop where Nita Ambani visited.”
The chaat shop has become a sensation on social media, with tourists lining up in long queues to taste it.
