Katrina Kaif is happy to hear Vicky Kaushal’s bad news; can’t wait…

Mumbai: After watching the fun trailer of ‘Bad News’, like every fan, actress Katrina Kaif too is extremely excited and can’t wait for Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming film.

Katrina re-posted the film’s trailer on her Instagram story on Friday and congratulated him. She wrote, “Can’t wait for this. Congratulations.”

The trailer of Dharma Productions’ latest comedy film ‘Bad News’ was released on Friday.

This quirky film takes a hilarious turn away from the usual romantic-comedy, and delves into the chaotic world of heterosexual oversaturation – yes, that’s a fancy way of saying two dads, one mom, and one baby!

The trailer features Bollywood heartthrobs Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk as two men who are on completely different paths to becoming fathers.

Tripti Dimri, a firecracker, is caught in the middle of this unexpected double paternity.

According to the trailer, the film will also star Neha Dhupia. The clip hints at confusion, hilarious misunderstandings and incredible chemistry between the lead trio.

From the goof-ups at the hospital to the awkward family dinners, this trailer is a laugh-every-minute preview.

The trailer also features a remix version of the song “Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam” from the 1998 hit comedy-action film “Duplicate”, starring superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Sonali Bendre in the lead roles.

Viewers can see Vicky Kaushal struggling to accept his new reality. Whereas Amy Virk will be seen making the audience laugh in his typical comic style.

And Dimri holds her own, playing a confused but determined woman at the centre of it all.

‘Bad News’ gives a new twist to the genre, promising an emotional rollercoaster packed with rib-tickling humour.

Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film looks to be a successor to the 2019 hit ‘Good Newwz’, which starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles.

He has produced Bad News along with Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Amritpal Singh Bindra. The screenplay of the film is written by Ishita Moitra and Tarun Dudeja.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Katrina was last seen in Sriram Raghavan’s film ‘Merry Christmas’ opposite actor Vijay Sethupathi. She has Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ which also stars Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra.

This film will release in theatres on 19th July.
