Mumbai: Keerthy Suresh, who recently tied the knot with her long-time partner Anthony Thattil, opened up about her life post-marriage and the joy of celebrating her first Pongal as a married woman. of. Talking about how life has changed after marriage, Kirti said, “Honestly, nothing much has changed. It’s almost the same for us too. It’s just that it’s getting a lot more attention and discussion. I’m used to attention, but Antony isn’t like that, so it’s very different for him. But even for me, it’s more noticeable than any normal day.”
While the couple has been together for a long time, Kirti said that the blending of their families has added a new and beautiful dimension to their relationship. “The fact that families come together in the process of marriage is what really makes it really different. We’ve been together for a very long time, so there hasn’t been much change between us, but celebrating each other with our families and seeing them bond has been heart-touching.”
Keerthi and Anthony celebrated their Thala Pongal (first Pongal after marriage), making it a truly special occasion. “When it’s the first festival after your marriage, it comes with a prefix called Thala – so you say Thala Pongal, Thala Diwali etc. It was Thala Pongal for me, and we both couldn’t be happier Were,” she said.
The couple shared their festive celebrations among their families. After spending Christmas with Anthony’s family last month, they celebrated Pongal at Keerthy’s house in Thiruvananthapuram. “It was proper family time and that made it very special,” he said.
Kirti ended 2024 on a high note with her wedding and the release of her first Bollywood film, Baby John. Looking ahead, she is looking forward to what 2025 will bring. “2024 was great for me personally and professionally. 2025 has already started, and I’m back to work. I am dubbing, signing new films and listening to narrations for many new projects. I’m excited to see what’s next,” she said.
