Kelly Clarkson looked a little breathless during a recent episode of her Emmy-winning talk show, ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show.’ On the Wednesday, October 30 episode, the multi-talented host shared that she is “deeply in love” with actor and filmmaker Jesse Eisenberg.
The exchange began when Clarkson, 42, listened intently to Eisenberg about her start in acting. The ‘American Idol’ alum was clearly engrossed when he explained how his career began unexpectedly in his teens, saying he only got into acting because he “hated school” and that acting “school Wasn’t.”
“I got a chance to hang out with adults who weren’t kids, and I was afraid of kids at the time,” he explained, adding, “It was more of a therapy thing than anything else.”

Apparently pleased and impressed by Eisenberg’s candor, Clarkson responded, “I love you deeply.” She laughed at her own admission and said, “I can match the energy you have right now, man.”
As they continued the conversation, Eisenberg jokingly referred to himself as someone whose “normal state is a panic attack.” Clarkson immediately jumped in, “Me too! We’re running at 11,” with a wide-eyed smile.

Eisenberg was on the show to promote his latest film project, A Real Pain, a drama that sees him wear multiple hats as a writer, producer, director and star. Discussing the pressure of balancing multiple roles in a single project, Eisenberg’s humorous approach continued to charm audiences. “Everything is hard,” he joked, causing Clarkson to laugh so hard she had to restrain herself.
Eisenberg revealed that his “first love was musical theater,” and as he said this, he quipped, “I shouldn’t have said that,” which made Clarkson laugh more.
