Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan with the cast of the film We all imagine ourselves as light The film, which won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival, was honoured at an awards ceremony held in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday.
The Kerala government recently honoured Malayalam film artistes for their achievements at the Cannes Film Festival.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan felicitated actors Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Hrudhu Haroon and Azeez Nedumangad, who were part of the film’s cast. We all imagine ourselves as light Which won the Grand Prix award at Cannes. Directed by Payal Kapadia, the film won the second biggest award after the Palme d’Or at the international festival.

The Chief Minister also congratulated other artists who promoted Indian cinema at Cannes and hoped that they would scale greater heights in their artistic journey. The ceremony was presided over by Culture Minister Saji Cherian.
Shaji N. Karun, Chairman, Kerala State Film Development Corporation Swaham Sreedharan, who was part of the Cannes competition 30 years ago, was present on the occasion.
