Thiruvananthapuram: Minister of Kerala Culture and Youth Affairs Saji Cherian talked about the dispute around the direction of Prithviraj Sukumaran, L2: Emperan and said “an art form should be seen as an art”.

“Many social issues will be raised when a film will be made. The form of an art must be seen as an art. The Kerala community should unite against the wrong moves. The film expresses the idea that we are all one. This is the one who should be embraced. Such a film can only be made in Kerala. No one will have the strength to make such a film.”
“I would like to appreciate Prithviraj to show courage to make such a film. A separate film released in Kerala. A film that is equal to world cinema. Many social issues are reflected in the film. It is a film that people of our country should see. My only concern can be about violence.
The ruling LDF leaders have slammed the Sangh Parivar organizations on the criticism of the film.
Mohanlal released a statement on Sunday, a few days after the release of Empuran. The actor said that some aspects of the film harassed some of his fans and assured that the team had decided to remove such references.
The actor wrote in a Facebook post, “I come to know that some political and social subjects involved in the unveiling of the second part of Lucifer Franchise have created a lot of crisis among many of my loved ones.”
