Kesari 2: Akshay Kumar talked about personal relations with Jalianwala Bagh massacre

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming historical drama ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ is attracting significant attention to its powerful subject: the battle of the court around the Jalianwala Bagh massacre. Produced by Karan Johar, Akshar Kumar in the film C. Shankaran is in the form of Nair, who challenged the silence of the British Empire on one of the deepest chapters in India’s colonial history. In the film, Ananya Pandey and R. Madhavan is also included in the lead roles and is ready for a dramatic release on 18 April.

In a recent press conference, Akshay Kumar revealed his personal relationship for the incident, making the film more meaningful for him.

“My grandfather saw the incident of the entire Jalianwala Bagh. He told my father about it, and my father told me. I know about the massacre because I was a child – the story has gone through generations. This film is very special for me; This incident has always been kept in my mind.”

Director Karan Tyagi reflected about contacting him with the project, Akshay said: “When Karan Tyagi narrated the story, I immediately agreed. I thank Karan Johar for giving this opportunity. What a shock I have suffered. History books are failed to highlight such important events.

The actor also expressed a strong message directed to the British government: “I want King Charles and the British government to watch this film and realize their mistake. Apology will naturally follow.”

When asked about the film that received the ‘A’ certificate from CBFC, Akshay replied: “I think there are some things that they believe that they are suitable for that rating, and we respect it.”

Producer Karan Johar said: “We fully respect the CBFC’s decision. He was because of him, and the film was not cut.”

In ‘Kesari 2’, Akshay c. Painted Shankaran Nair, who was a fearless lawyer, standing in the British Empire after the 1919 Jalianwala Bagh massacre, where more than 1,600 innocent civilians were killed.

With an entertaining patriotic vowel and historical relevance, Kesari is ready to give both the cinematic influence and a reminder of India’s battle for justice.
