Some novels leave an impression on our brain the kite RunnerKhalid Hosaini’s powerful story of friendship and redemption, against the backdrop of Afghanistan’s turbulent past, has transferred millions of people worldwide. Now, thanks to the Arena Theater Productions, developing for life on stage. Customized by American playwright Matthew Spangler, production will be staged at Good Shepherd Auditorium on 5 April.
The founder director of the Arena Theater Productions, Tahera, recalls her own experience with the novel. “I remember reading the novel years ago when it came out just, and I completely agree on how much it is going and touching. The story is always with you, no matter how many years have passed. Even if you do not remember every detail, you will still miss the characters and some lines. the kite Runner‘For you, a thousand times,’ certainly resonance with many. ,
Matthew adaptation has widely praised for the ability to reduce the novel’s huge scope in two -hour production without reducing its emotional weight. Tahera says, “Every scene catches the origin of the story. People who come to see it feel that nothing is missing; everything is beautifully explained in those two hours. The playwright has done a great job.”

The story delays its subjects of class struggle, privilege, oppression and redemption. “Subject of” the kite Runner, Unfortunately, they are still relevant today. Although the book is set in the 1970s, it addresses issues that persist in modern times. The story highlights classism and Shia-Suni struggle in the complications of Muslim culture. This shows how friendship often occurs in different social classes, yet Aamir’s journey shows the intense effect of these relationships, ”says Tahera.
Live will add more depth to music production. “Each visual book in the play represents a specific chapter from the book. We have structured it to effectively capture each significant phase within these scenes. One of the highlights is live music, which adds authenticity to Afghanistan’s cultural settings. We have made a lot of effort to keep the story of the story right and to stay in the roots of the story.”
