New Delhi: The makers on Sunday shared the much-awaited new look of Deepika Padukone in the upcoming epic sci-fi ‘Kalki 2898 A.D.’ The film also stars veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Disha Patani in pivotal roles. With anticipation growing, fans are particularly curious about Deepika Padukone’s portrayal of Padma, a character central to the film’s plot.
Deepika Padukone has also shared a new poster on her Instagram handle. In the poster, the actress looks worried and is seen looking into the distance.

Kalki 2898 A.D. marks Deepika’s debut in Telugu cinema. Inspired by Goddess Lakshmi from Hindu mythology, who is known for her heavenly qualities and divine beauty, the role is significant for the actress as it gives her a chance to capture the spiritual and emotional depth of the goddess. Throughout the film, Padma is expected to exude a blend of grace and strength, helping Kalki restore balance in the post-apocalyptic world.
