Kiccha Sudeep has turned down the Karnataka State Award. He was honored for his role Pilwan2019 film directed by S. Krishna did it.
In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), Kiccha Sudeep said he was grateful that his efforts were recognised. The actor said he “has stopped accepting awards for many years.”
His statement read, “Respected Government of Karnataka and members of the jury, it is indeed a privilege to receive the State Award under the Best Actor category, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to the respected jury for this honor . However, I must express that I have chosen to stop receiving awards for several years, a decision made for various personal reasons that I intend to maintain. ,
Kichcha Sudeep continued, “There are many deserving actors who have poured their hearts into their craft and will appreciate this prestigious recognition as much as I will. It would only make me happy to receive one of these. ,
Sharing how the recognition has served as a significant boost, Kiccha Sudeep said, “My dedication to entertaining people has always been without the expectation of awards, and this acknowledgment from the jury alone is a significant boost for me. To continue to strive for excellence. ,
Urging the jury to trust their choice, he said, “I am grateful to every jury member for choosing me, as this recognition is, in itself, my reward. I sincerely apologize to the jury members and the State Government for any disappointment that my decision may have caused, and I am confident that you will respect my choice and support me on the path I have chosen. ,
He concluded, “Once again, I thank the honorable members of the jury and the state government for recognizing my work and considering me for this award.”
