Kichcha Sudepa expressed concern over the Supreme Court’s order to remove the stray dog at Delhi-NCR, called for adoption and care

Bengaluru: Actor Kichcha Sudipa has reacted to transfer all stray dogs in Delhi-NCR to shelters within eight weeks on the recent order of the Supreme Court.

In his post on X (East Twitter), the actor said that when he does not want to question the court’s decision, which may be “caused by this,” he is worried about the “welfare” of animals and how it would affect his life.

Sudipa shared that he grew up around community dogs and his family has also adopted Indian breeds. He described “love and loyalty”, they bring to people’s lives, saying that dogs did not choose the streets, but humans can choose to give them homes.

Sudipa wrote, “The Supreme Court’s decision to score stray dogs in Delhi NCR and keep in shelters is permanently nothing that I want to question because it can be due to it in this decision. But it also raises serious concerns about their good and their goodness and impact on their lives.”

“After growing around community dogs, and with adopting the indies with my family, I can pay attention to the love and loyalty they brought. They not chosen on the streets, but we can choose to give them a house. We can definitely have voice for soundless. Please adopt,” he said.

On August 11, a bench of Justice Pardwala and R Mahadevan took a rigorous view of the danger of the stray dog and ordered Delhi-NCR to remove stray dogs from all areas within eight weeks and ordered them to be established by civic authorities in dedicated dog shelters dedicated.

It said that all areas should be freed from stray dogs and there should be no compromise, while clarifying that no occupied animals would be released back to the streets.

It also ordered contempt proceedings against any person or organization that tries to stop the authorities from driving.

The apex court order came on the proceedings of a Suo Motu, which was launched on a media report on the increasing threat to rabies attacks for rabies.

The news report was stated as “very upset and dangerous”, the bench said that on that day the news report revealed that the elderly and children were the most affected by rabies with dog bites.
