Kim Porter’s father has opened up about the disturbing video of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Cassie Ventura, saying he was “disgusted”. A recently viral 2016 video shows Cassie running out of the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles with Diddy chasing and attacking her. The music legend grabbed her by the neck and pinned her to the ground, kicked and dragged her, and threw things at her.
“You could say I was disgusted by the video, and I would never treat my enemy like that,” Jake Porter, 78, told Rolling Stone. “It was disgusting. I couldn’t believe it. I was in Vietnam, and I would never do that to my enemy.”
‘I didn’t know he could stoop so low’
Diddy’s ex-wife Kim died in 2018. Combs is survived by his son Christian, 26, and twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila, 16.
Jake said he never saw Diddy physically attack his daughter, but Cassie Ventura’s video has given him a “different perspective” on the rapper. “I had no idea he could stoop that low,” he said. “I think it shocked a lot of people. I wouldn’t even do that to a dog. My heart goes out to Cassie.”
Jake also revealed that Kim loved Diddy but “just couldn’t live” in the same house with him. “I think he was a very jealous person. They both loved each other. Kim’s love was legitimate. Puffy’s love, I don’t know what he calls love, you know what I mean?” he said. I really don’t think he knows what love is.”
Days after the video went viral, Cassie broke her silence and said it “changed me into someone I never thought I would be.” “I help those who are still living in fear. Reach out to your people, don’t cut ties with them. No one should have to carry this burden alone. This healing journey will never end, but this support means everything to me. Thank you. Love always, Cassie,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
