Kiran Rao spent a fun-filled time with her ex-husband Aamir Khan and son Azad on Sunday. Kiran shared adorable pictures on her Instagram stories. In the first picture, Kiran Rao can be seen clicking a selfie. Kiran Rao, Aamir Khan and Azad can be seen dressed in white. Kiran Rao captioned the picture, “Rao-Khan holiday.” In the second picture, Kiran and family can be seen posing with their friends against the backdrop of greenery. Earlier this month, Aamir Khan celebrated his mother’s birthday with his ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, daughter Ira, sisters Nikhat and Farhat, sons Junaid and Azad, and son-in-law Nupur Shikhare along with other friends and family members. In an interview with NDTV earlier this year, Kiran Rao spoke about her decision to publicly announce her divorce. Speaking to NDTV, she said, “It was a conscious decision because in some ways, we realise that… you know you are in the public eye. You are living your life very publicly. What we were doing was completely legally, morally and ethically okay. It is better to talk about it openly and not let people speculate about it.”
Kiran Rao said during the conversation, “Then what happens is that even after you say it, people interpret it, but when you don’t, it becomes very easy for people to show bitterness. And we have seen how big public figures are dragged into it when they are going through a difficult and painful time.”
Talking about work, Kiran Rao has returned to direction after a decade with Missing Ladies. This film got a lot of love from the audience and critics. The film is co-produced by Aamir Khan’s production house.
