it’s a boy! Francis Bean Cobain and Tony Hawk’s eldest son, Riley, has welcomed his first child
Congratulations to Frances Bean Cobain and Tony Hawk’s eldest son Riley Hawk, who welcomed their first child earlier this month. Courtney Love and the daughter of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain announced the news in an emotional Instagram post late Saturday night.

The 32-year-old visual artist shared a carousel of black-and-white photos featuring her baby, along with the caption, “9.17.2024 Welcome Ronin Walker Cobain Hawke, the most beautiful son in the world. We love you more than anything.” Shortly after Frances broke the news, Tony expressed his joy at the new addition to his family, commenting, “My favorite grandson.”

Frances and Riley became parents less than a year after getting married. It is believed that the two came together for the first time in 2021. However, they did not make their relationship public until the following year. After obtaining a marriage license in San Diego, the couple exchanged vows on October 7, 2023.
According to Page Six, their wedding was reportedly arranged by Francis’ godfather, REM frontman Michael Stipe. In February 2022, he made his relationship with Riley Instagram official by sharing a PDA-filled post. “I wanted to share some of the moments I captured/created last year that brought me so much joy,” she wrote at the time.

Francis was previously married to rock artist Isaiah Silva from 2014 to 2017. After their split, he was embroiled in a legal dispute over one of his late father’s guitars. Silva acquired the equipment and auctioned it for $6 million.
