Mumbai: Malayalam superstar Mohanlal recently resorted to social media to announce on social media that his upcoming action will be the first film from Malayalam cinema to be released on IMAX.
Sharing the poster of the film on his Instagram handle, the actor wrote, “It announces that #L2E #Puraan announced the first film to be released on IMAX, #March 27.
Interestingly, Mohanlal is actively promoting his film on social media, attached to fans and produces enthusiasm for its release. Through his post, he has shared a glimpse of back and forth, updates and posters, which further enhances the anticipation around the film.
On 18 March, director Prithviraj Sukumaran revealed that Tamil superstar Rajinikanth was the first to see his much awaited political thriller “L2: Empuraan” trailer. In a post on his X handle, the director mentioned that after watching the trailer, Rajinikanth praised it and appreciated Prithviraj on the project.
Prithviraj posted a picture of himself with Rajinikanth and wrote, “To see the trailer of #L2E #Empuraan, the first person I say after seeing it, it is for me!
The censor board has approved “L2: Empuran” for officially release, providing it a UA 16+ rating. The certified length of the film is 179.52 meters. The film is the much awaited sequel of “Lucifer”, which became a huge hit. The Political Action thriller also sees Prithviraj as Zayed Masood, which is a mercenary commando, leading the infamous Qureshi-Ab’ Ram Nexus, who continues his impressive character with the first film in Lucifer Franchisee.
“L2: Empuran” is scheduled to hit the screen on 27 March 2025.
