A new chapter has begun in Lady Gaga’s life. The global superstar dropped a bombshell during a simple appearance at the 2024 Paris Olympics and has now taken the internet by storm. In the company of French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, Gaga affectionately referred to her boyfriend and longtime partner Michael Polansky as her “fiancé”. The singer, who performed during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Games, first sparked engagement rumours in April.

In April, the singer was spotted flaunting a large diamond on her ring finger, fuelling speculation that she is ready to walk down the aisle. Although it did not come as an official announcement, her recent revelation has clarified the ongoing rumours. In a TikTok shared by French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, Gaga can be heard referring to Polanski as “my fiancé” while introducing him to Attal.
The Bloody Mary singer, who has been engaged twice before, appeared at the Paris 2024 Olympics and sang “Mon Truc en Plumes” in tribute to French ballet dancer and singer Zizi Jeanmaire. Prior to her relationship with Michael Polansky, she was engaged to Chicago Fire’s Taylor Kinney and talent agent Christian Carino, although both engagements did not last.

Romance blossomed between Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky in late 2019. Their relationship first sparked public interest when they were spotted sharing intimate moments at a Las Vegas 2020 New Year’s Eve party. Shortly after, they made their relationship official with a highly publicized, PDA-filled weekend in Miami, showcasing their shared love for the game while attending the Super Bowl.
Since then, the couple has been relatively private about their love life, though sources close to the couple described them as “inseparable” and behaving like “a married couple” even before their engagement was announced. In 2021, Gaga was invited to perform at President Joe Biden’s inauguration and Polansky tagged along to promote it. “Gaga had a great time at the inauguration and was very happy, she is very happy with Michael and grateful for his support,” a source told People at the time.
