When I have a dramatic need for it or an aesthetic need for it, I go deeper into what I need. Aging and de-aging can be very important in the next film.”
Al himself once suggested that Timothée Chalamet could play a younger version of him, but also said he would be willing to reprise the role with de-aging techniques. Meanwhile, there are rumors that Adam Driver could play the young Neil McCauley, while Austin Butler is being considered for the role of Chris Shiherlis, which was originally played by Kilmer.
