Liam Payne’s journey to stardom began when he was just 14 years old in his lesser-known first audition for The X Factor.

At the age of 16, Payne initially auditioned as a solo act, but was given a second chance to return to bootcamp as part of a group, becoming one of the talent show’s biggest success stories. One became – One Direction.
The band – consisting of Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson – achieved international fame despite only finishing third in the show.

He donated to the Trussell Trust charity to support over 100 food bank centers in Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry, Sheffield, Nottingham and Bristol.
Born in August 1993, Payne was often ill throughout his childhood due to a kidney problem.
In August last year, he postponed his scheduled tour of South America after suffering from a “severe kidney infection”.
