Liam Payne’s family have been left “devastated” by the tragic death of Liam Payne at the age of 31 on Wednesday. He told the Daily Mail at his home in Wolverhampton, UK, that he was “completely devastated.” According to the outlet, the late singer’s older sisters, Nicola and Ruth, arrived at the home Thursday morning.

“We are heartbroken. “Liam will always live in our hearts and we will remember him for his kind, funny and brave spirit,” Payne’s family said in a statement to CNN. “As a family we are supporting each other as best we can and are asking for privacy and space during this terrible time,” he said.

A neighbor said of her grieving parents, “They were seen leaving in a hurry last night around midnight, but I’m not sure whether they had bags or not.”
“You can’t imagine what they’re going through. I know Liam loved coming back here whenever he could. “They will break hearts if they get too close,” a local resident said, according to the Daily Mail.
