Yes We Can (YWTC), a charitable trust, in partnership with Fiserv Gives Back, launched a filmmaking program “Lights, Camera, Inclusion” for persons with disabilities on Saturday, July 20, 2024. The main objective of the program is to show that people with disabilities can also shine in cinema.

Speaking at the launch event, former national Paralympic champion Madhavi Latha Prathigudupu said, “Having differently-abled persons in the entertainment industry helps us a lot. We all know that visual media is very powerful. We talk about inclusion, but seeing it unfold on screen will reach many people”.
“I have urged many in the media to include persons with disabilities in a natural way that will not affect their profits but the impact on the audience will be significant,” he said.
“At Fiserv, we work to create an environment that celebrates equality and inclusion in our workplace and beyond, allowing everyone to reach their full potential,” said Gopakumar Subramanian, senior vice president of global services at Fiserv.
The films Stride, Breaking Barriers and Embracing Identity, When Opportunity Knocks the Recruiters Doors and a documentary ‘Beyond the Court: The Indian Wheelchair Basketball Journey’ were shown. Most of the actors were persons with disabilities
Milind Joshi of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) said, “These are some of the best films I have seen, and these films have the potential to go to great places.”
