Mumbai: The Mumbai Crime Branch has issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang for allegedly threatening Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and demanding Rs 20 crore. Security has been tightened around the actor as the Anti-Extortion Cell investigates the matter.
The FIR was registered after police verified a voice note in which the caller identified himself as Harichandra alias Harry Boxer.

The police had sent the threatening voice note received by Ranveer Singh’s manager to Punjab and Haryana for verification. The sender of the voice note had identified himself as Harry Boxer and had demanded a ransom of Rs 20 crore.
After Mumbai Police received information about the threatening voice note, it was sent to Punjab and Haryana Police. Once the officials there confirmed that the voice in the note matched that of Harry Boxer, an FIR was registered.
Mumbai Cyber ​​Police has registered an FIR against Harry Boxer based on the complaint of Ranveer Singh’s manager Vijay Subramaniam. The case is being investigated in collaboration with the Anti Extortion Cell of the Crime Branch.
According to police, the manager received a call on his phone from an international number (+340), which is believed to be the country code of the Virgin Islands. The caller allegedly demanded money and threatened.
Following the threats, security has been tightened at Ranveer’s residence. He has also been advised to be cautious while traveling for the shooting of the film.
It is reported that the “Boxer” left long voice notes saying that if his demands were not met, “the next seven generations” would remember the outcome.
In the voice note, he reportedly said: “Ranveer Singh, you went back on what you said, okay… either go back on that commitment, or we will show you what the punishment is for going back. So we are leaving this voice note for you…”
“Rohit Shetty and you come on the line… and we are also telling the entire Bollywood… I and my brother take responsibility for the shooting that took place in Portugal today at ‘Marina Grand’ and Sukhdev’s shop.”
This is the second FIR registered against Bishnoi gang members. Earlier on February 1, there was an incident of firing outside the Juhu residence of film producer Rohit Shetty.
The agency probing the case has so far arrested 12 people, including alleged shooter Deepak Sharma, who allegedly opened fire at the residence of filmmaker Rohit Shetty at the behest of Shubham Lonkar Group.
