Bollywood celebrities fulfilled their democratic duty by coming out to vote in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024. While exercising their franchise in the nationwide elections, Hindi film stars led by example and urged fellow citizens to vote.
Voting began on Monday morning on 13 of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, including six in Mumbai. This is the last voting round in the state.

One of the first stars to be seen at the booth was actor Akshay Kumar. Kumar, an early riser, was voting for the first time after obtaining his Indian citizenship in 2023.
Superstar Shahrukh Khan came out to vote on Monday afternoon and was accompanied by his family. Aamir Khan was seen at the polling booths with his former partner director Kiran Rao.
Star couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, who are expecting their first child, also came out to exercise their democratic right. Veteran actor Dharmendra, aged 88 and wearing a fedora in the Mumbai heat, posed for photographs after casting his vote. Dharmendra’s wife and BJP MP Hema Malini also reached the polling booth with daughter Esha Deol.
Actors Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Sanya Molhatra, Suniel Shetty, filmmakers Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar, Ashutosh Gowariker, Kabir Khan and others also cast their votes at various polling stations in Mumbai. .

Veteran former BJP Lok Sabha member Paresh Rawal showed his inked finger in front of the camera. Emphasizing the importance of voting, Rawal suggested punishment for those who abstained.
