Actor and motorsport racer Ajith Kumar narrowly escaped a car accident during a training session in Dubai on January 7, 2025.
In a video shared by Ajith’s official racing team, Ajith’s car, a Porsche 992 GT3, is seen hitting a wall railing and spinning on the race track. However, after a while, the actor was helped out of the car and seemed to walk away without any injuries.
The accident occurred during practice at the Dubai Autodrome for the upcoming 24H Dubai 2025 race, which is scheduled to take place on January 11 and 12. This race will be Ajit’s team’s first race in a major competitive event.
Well-known racing enthusiast Ajit announced his return to racing in September by launching his own racing team named Ajit Kumar Racing. The team had announced Starr’s desire to compete in the European GT4 Championship in 2025. Popular Belgian racer Fabien Dufeix was announced as the team’s official racing driver.
A keen racer, Ajith has previously competed in the Asian Formula BMW Championship and the British Formula 3 Championship, including podium finishes at Donington Park and Knockhill Circuit. He has also raced in the FIA Formula 2 Championship. After starting with motorcycle racing, Ajit also participated in the National Motorcycle Racing Championship.
Notably, Ajith also founded Venus Motorcycles, a Chennai-based startup that focuses on motorcycle touring and training bike enthusiasts. The company intends to launch its first on-road training sessions for women this month under the guidance of experienced motorcyclists and instructors.
On the film front, his upcoming film, VidamuyarchiIt was scheduled to release on Pongal but the makers have postponed it. Another upcoming film of the actor, good bad uglySet to release on April 10.
