New Delhi: As Shahrukh Khan turns 60, the entire Bollywood fraternity is celebrating the king of hearts with love, nostalgia and appreciation.
Director and choreographer Farah Khan wrote on Instagram, “Happy Birthday King @iamsrk… rule for the next 100 years!” Along with a series of emojis. She also shared pictures with the superstar – in one she is seen kissing Shahrukh on the cheek and in the other the two are seen in a warm embrace.
Ace designer Manish Malhotra also joined the celebrations, writing, “Happy Birthday to the one and only @iamsrk! Wishing you all the best – from the day before your birthday today till your big birthday tomorrow! The most stylish, the fittest and the best everywhere… From the 90s till now, you have always been the same person – always admired and loved.”
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee extended a warm wish on
Actress Isha Koppikar, who worked with Shah Rukh in Don, recalled her memories from the sets and described him as “the person whose presence turns every moment into magic.”
He further added, “Whether it was on the sets of Don or during casual interactions, Shah Rukh always made everyone around him feel special. There is an aura about him, a rare blend of passion, kindness and grace.”
His message continued, “Shah Rukh, on your birthday, I wish you happiness as limitless as your soul and the love that grows with every heart you touch. You are not just the King Khan of Bollywood, you are the King of hearts today and always.”
Raghav Juyal, who has worked with Shahrukh’s son Aryan, wrote, “Happy Birthday, Shahrukh Sir. You are not just an actor, you are an emotion. Watching you, I know that even small town dreams can shine the brightest.”
Actor Rajkummar Rao also shared a special post on Instagram, showing a video montage from the Filmfare Awards, where he and SRK danced together to “Chaiyya Chaiyya”.
Rao captioned it, “Happy Birthday @iamsrk sir. Thank you for being by your side and for your love and support all these years. Keep inspiring us with your work. Looking forward to the blockbuster #King now!”
Akshay Kumar added his trademark humor while wishing the superstar, while Shah Rukh’s long-time co-star Kajol posted two adorable pictures with him, writing,
“Happy 60th to a life well lived! Advice for the day- Don’t count the candles. Here’s to turning 29 again. Wishing you and yours only good things! Happy Birthday @iamsrk #Happy60th.”

Kajol and Shah Rukh’s on-screen chemistry has given Bollywood some of the biggest blockbusters, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), My Name Is Khan (2010), and Dilwale (2015).
Karan Johar, one of Shahrukh’s closest friends, wrote a deeply emotional note remembering their first meeting on the sets of Karan Arjun.
He wrote, “I was expecting the aura and magic of a budding superstar, but instead met a magical man with a beating heart – the best husband, father, son-in-law, brother and friend anyone could have. Your kindness and generosity are as iconic as your wide open arms (which should be declared a national gesture).”
Johar further added, “Brother, the love you have given to millions of fans around the world makes you more than just a mega film star – it makes you emotional. I love you so much, brother. Thank you for being there through the good and bad times and being family to Yash, Roohi, mom and me. This decade, like every decade, will be yours! Happy Birthday @iamsrk.”

First look out of ‘King’
Directed by Siddharth Anand and starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Raghav Juyal, Arshad Warsi, Rani Mukherjee and Anil Kapoor, King is expected to release in theaters around Diwali 2026.
