Popular Tamil lyricist and writer Vairamuthu criticized the Tamil filmmakers on Monday (June 9) to use the verses of his songs, without allowing him as the title of his films.
Taking his official X handle, the lyricist claimed that those filmmakers neither sought permission nor informed him about the same. “This is not just one or two. Pidichen,” “silence ragam,” Minsara Kanna “,” Kannalane, “” Annwell, “” Ure, “Kollaiyadithathal,” Thangmagan “… the list goes on.”

The lyricist said that when he came to the said filmmakers several times, he neither scolded him nor questioned him to do so. “Because it gave me happiness that in a society where wealth is not a normal property, at least knowledge is becoming common,” he said.

The tweet gave a lot of reactions to the neti, one of which surprised whether it was asking the lyricist a fair. “If you look at it in this way, no one can use anything. The words of your song must have appeared in a book, a novel, a novel, or even a poem. So if those writers claim ownership of the said verses? You can tell if a whole song was misused,” Read the post.
