New Delhi: Kajol made his much -awaited comeback with the legendary horror film Ma this year, which now has an OTT release date in the end. Directed by Vishal Furia, the film will begin streaming on Netflix on 22 August.
On Thursday, Netflix India announced the premiere date with a caption on Instagram: “When the protector is a mother to be every house, every house will be” (when the mother changes the guard, it is lucky to fall the destroyer).

Kajol-Starrer is directed by Vishal Furia and is produced by Ajay Devgan, Jyoti Deshpande and Kumar Mangat Pathak. The film also includes Indranil Sengpta, Ronit Roy and Kherin Sharma, among others, in decisive roles.
The screenplay is written by Saiwyn Quadras, which is edited by Sandeep Francis. Music is composed by Harsh Upadhyay, Rocky Khanna and Shiv Malhotra.
The story revolves around Ambika (Kajol) and her daughter, who travels to her husband’s hometown after her mysterious death due to a supernatural force. Kajol received significant praise for his performance, although the film collected Rs 36.08 crore at the Indian box office.

The film discussed online with its intensive trailer. It begins with Kajol running her daughter on a dark, empty road. When the girl complains of period pain, Kajol gently assures her that they will stop soon. Suddenly, the situation becomes terrible when a dead body crashes into their car window. From there, the mother-daughter pair ends in the terrible village of Chandanpur, where events take a terrible turn.

According to Sacnilk, horror drama was opened for mixed reviews, Rs 36.08 crore at the Indian box office and Rs 49.75 crore worldwide.
On the work front, Kajol will be seen in Mahagani: Queen of Queen, Co-Abhi Bhibh Dev, Naseeruddin Shah, and Samuktha’s co-conclusion. The film is slapped for release in 2026.
