Magdleen of Karwagio in Parmanand travels to Bengaluru

“This is the first time an original Karwagio has traveled to India,” says Italy’s Consul General Alphonso Tagliferry in Bengaluru, at a press conference, at a press conference before the unveiling Magdleen in ecstasy By Renaissance artist Michael Angelo Mercy Da Karwagio at Bangalore at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA). “It defines a very good moment of bilateral relationships that we are living now,” they say.

In the painting, Mary’s Mary is shown in a state of almost-mechotic spiritual enthusiasm, semi-rhetoric, which is wrapped in scarlet robbers with shoulders and is about to flow of obornat hair against a dark background, a particularly the classic chiroskuro technique of Renaissance arts, which is often introduced. “Art historians, when they talk of caravagio, often use the realistic word, but the correct definition would be dramatic – the way he composed the pictures was very dramatic,” says Andrea Anastasio, director of the Italian Cultural Center, Andrea Anastasio, who was also present at the press conference. “Of course, there is a lot of reality because he portrays with real models, which sometimes causes trouble,” Anastasio says. For example, in his famous painting of a dying Madonna, The death of the virginHe is believed to have used a prostitute, “And this made a lot of noise in the public … the church refused to take the painting.”

Caravaggio, she continues, fundamentally changes art, especially the way she used light. “We have to keep in mind that when it comes to painting in Europe, there is a pre-cargio and post-cargio,” he says, many artists, including Rembrants and Velzakwase, received inspiration from their use of light. “Carvagism is a fashion where artists used their way of painting the pictures and their way of using light.”

Magdleen in ecstasy It is believed to have been painted in 1606, while Karwagio was hidden, when he killed a man, Ranukosio Tomson in a controversy. Anastasio says, “Karwagio has a disturbed, actually tragic life,” saying that the artist was a desired man with a difficult childhood. “You must keep in mind that, at the age of six, in a day, he lost another very close relatives due to his father, his aunt, uncle and plague,” he says.

The rest of the family left Milan to escape the epidemic, going to the city of Karwagio in Bergamo, Lombardi, where he was picked up by his mother and, during this period, he appeared facing financial conflict. His talent, however, was undisputed, by most accounts. According to the website of the Carvagio Foundation, in 1584, he started as a trainee for Lombard Painter Simone Peterzano, a disciple of Titian. By 1592, he moved to Rome, where he began to do hack-work for the favorite painter of “highly successful Giusep Cesari, Pope Clement VIII,” describes it.

Within two years, he left Cesri and decided to make his way into the world and over time, became an established name in Italy. But his temporary nature meant “even at a time and place, when such behavior was common, and his police records and testing tapes filled several pages.”

By 39, he had died, passing under mysterious circumstances in 1610; However, his legacy lives, and how. “There is a group of artists that are most important for our (Italians),” says Consale General Tagliferry. “Leonardo (Da Vinci), Michael Angelo, Rafael … After this, I would say, Caravagio … is very important for our history.”

lost and Found

Over the centuries, Magdleen in ecstasy It was believed that it was lost in the world, even though “we knew that the painting was present because copies were made,” Anastasio says. Then, in 2014, it was discovered in a private collection of the Italian family of an aristocratic class, which was owned by centuries. “When the final owner of the painting died, he left nine important pictures from his collection to his nephew and niece. The painting was sent to restore what he got, and when it went to the restoration workshop, the restorer suspected that it was important.”

Further investigation by experts, including art historian Guglielma Gregory, revealed that it was actually missing painting and “after this the painting is traveling and displayed in many countries. The reason is that the pleasure to share the painting of such an excellent nature,” they say.

The painting, which was unveiled in India at the Kiran Nadar Museum in Delhi for the first time in India, is with a VR experience, which gives visitors a deep engagement with artist’s work. “The audience comes most of the time, knowing very little about artist or historical context, so do it in such a way that they will attach,” it is important, “Anastasio says. “And VR does it in a beautiful way.”

Dr. Sanjeev Kishore Gutam, Director General, NGMA, “This extraordinary exhibition of” Magdleen in ecstasy Honoring the creative heritage of Karwagio, in my opinion, there is a permanent impact on the history of world art, “they say.” For the first time in India, it will attract one type of show art enthusiasts and a large audience of all areas of the audience, especially to students studying academics and arts. ,
