Maggie Smith will be honored in Downton Abbey 3, executive producer confirms

Late star Maggie Smith will be honored with a special tribute in the third Downton Abbey film. According to Variety, executive producer Gareth Neame confirmed that the third film will include a tribute to both the character and Maggie Smith. Magee died on 27 September at the age of 89.
