Mahakumbh 2025: From Shankar Mahadevan to Mohit Chauhan, see the star-studded lineup of singers performing at the grand spiritual festival in Prayagraj

Prayagraj: Mahakumbh 2025, which will begin on January 13 and conclude on February 26 in Prayagraj, is set to offer a unique experience to devotees this year, as they will witness a blend of spirituality, art and culture.

The grand event will feature a range of renowned artistes showcasing the diversity of Indian music, dance and storytelling.

The festival will begin with a performance by Shankar Mahadevan on the opening day, while Mohit Chauhan will conclude the event with his soulful music on the final day. Throughout the Mahakumbh, Kailash Kher, Shaan Mukherjee, Hariharan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Kavita Seth, Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma, Shovana Narayan, Dr. L. Many acclaimed artistes including Subramaniam, Bikram Ghosh, Malini Awasthi and many others will be performing. The event is creating a mesmerizing spiritual atmosphere for the devotees, the Culture Ministry said in a release.

The Ganga Pandal at the Kumbh Mela grounds will host these performances, which will include classical dance, folk music and dramatic arts, aimed at telling stories of devotion, faith and the cultural richness of India, providing a spiritual and artistic experience for devotees and visitors. Will provide both.

Performances will range from classical music to folk traditions, with a stellar lineup that includes Ravi Tripathi (January 25), Sadhna Sargam (January 26), Shaan (January 27), and Ranjani and Gayatri (January 31).

Notable performances include Hariharan (10 February), Kailash Kher (23 February), and Mohit Chauhan’s Finale (24 February).

The performance will include classical maestros like Dr L Subramaniam, Tejendra Narayan Majumdar and Tanmay Bose as well as folk music stars like Abha Gandharva and Parthiv Gohil.

Mahakumbh is being celebrated after 12 years, more than 45 crore devotees are expected to participate in this event. During Maha Kumbh, devotees will gather at the confluence of rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati to take a holy bath, which is believed to absolve one of sins and attain salvation. Mahakumbh will conclude on 26th February.

The main bathing ritual (Shahi Snan) of Kumbh will take place on January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya) and February 3 (Basant Panchami).
