Mumbai: Dhanashree Verma’s divorce from Indian cricketer, Yuzvendra Chahal, has been one of the most controversial subjects of 2025.
Since the partition, social media affected has faced harsh online trolling, many called it “Gold Digger”.
Now, Dhanashree, who is currently on Ashner Grover’s reality show ‘Rise and Fall’, opened about her marriage and criticism. Talking to fellow contestants, he said that respect was always important to him, even during difficult times.

“When you are in marriage, you are responsible for respecting the person.
Dhanashree and Yuzvendra Chahal tied the knot after a meeting in December 2020 during the Kovid -19 lockdown. However, their marriage ended earlier this year. The couple filed for divorce by mutual consent in February 2025 and officially divorced in March.

During this period, trolling against Dhanashree became intensified. When Chahal was wearing a T-shirt in the final divorce, he read, “B. Your on Sugar Daddy.”
In a new promo for Rise and Fall, Dhanashree was also seen addressing the tag “Gold Digar” with humor. In a promo for the upcoming episodes, the contestants were asked to select between a gold bag of Rs 2 lakh and had a silver bag of Rs 1 lakh. Actor Arjun was added to Arjun Bijlani, Dhanashree heard, “Look Muje Diamond, Silver Little Suit Nahhi Karta. Muje Muje Gold Suit Karta is (Luke, Diamonds and Silver Don Me Me. Gold Suit Me).”
Dhanashree then reacted a funny reaction in the context of trolling. He said, “This line is the main lyrics, Nahhi Sakti. If the main man is the line, which will be a lonely love, love will be found (I cannot say this line. If I say this line, I will not even get the love that I am going to meet).”
The ‘Rise and Fall’ is hosted by Ashner Grover and includes popular faces of the entertainment world, including Arjun Bijlani, Kubbara SAT, Sangeeta Phogat, Anaya Bangar, Rush Bhola, Akrati Negi, and Noorin Sha, Kaku Sharda, Dhanu Verma, Ahana, Ahana, Ahana Kum, Patel, and Pawan Singh.
